RAK7258 is a full-fledged 8-channel LoRa gateway with a built-in Ethernet-connection for easy set-up. There is a built-in Wi-Fi set-up that makes it easy to configure it in the default Wi-Fi access point.
As with other industrial RAK gateways, it also supports MQTT bridge mode with an option of TLS authentication.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) is supported for cases when it is required to use wall or ceiling installation without laying out additional power lines.
The open-source software for setting-up the gateway device and its management is based on OpenWRT. It is equipped with a built-in LoRa pack redirector. There is also a graphical user interface for quick set-up. You also can use a completely customized solution.
The gateway optical range (LoS) is up to 15 km. Under the conditions of strong urbanization, it can cover more than 2 km. It is incorporated with A and C classes. RAK7258 is the perfect solution for the LoRaWan use scenario.
The RAK Micro Gateway package includes the LoRa antenna, fixing screws, and anchors. It is a full-fledged 8-channel LoRa gateway with a built-in Ethernet connection.
